I don’t typically get political on here, but sometimes there is cause for exception. I would never celebrate the death of another person. It’s not my place. It doesn’t feel right.
I do, however, believe there is cause to celebrate not the death of Moammar Gadhafi but Libya’s long-awaited new beginning. In President Obama’s words, “the dark shadow of tyranny has been lifted.” Libyans finally have a chance to see calm, peace, and democracy in their lifetimes. For that, I will celebrate.
