Do you ever just get into a funk for very little reason at all? I had a wonderful day yesterday, and then I got all brooding and glum over one little thing and started whining about it. There’s nothing like waking up to a new day with a cat chewing on your eyebrow to put things into perspective, right?!
Sometimes I have to remind myself of a few things:
- I am surrounded by amazing people. I have the best guy in the world to care about me and always be there for me, and my friends are absolutely wonderful.
- I have a great life, with lots of opportunities that I should never forget to be grateful for.
- My bad day could probably qualify as the best that somebody else has ever had.
I think we could all use a little reminder every once in awhile… When you get into a funk, what snaps you out of it? I
This was me on Tuesday! Every little thing was annoying to me! I took Evie for a long walk and went to bed early! I woke up Wednesday with a whole new attitude! I love your comment about your worst day being someone else’s best day. I’ve never thought about that before and I will reflect on this the next time I’m in a funk!
Thank you Lindsay for a thought provoking post!
Michelle-
Here’s to a great week!
i find that if i get myself walking, outside, for a good walk with my dog. or if i put on some hillsong music, or baking or cooking can do it for me sometimes. and other times i just tell my husband “i’m in a funk, i want a hug” and that helps too!
