My favorite thing about the line, however, (Should I be ashamed to admit that this is how I prioritize?) is the smell. The whole shebang smells of lemongrass and thyme and leaves an earthy, natural scent behind, rather than a bleachy mist hanging in the air. I have officially replaced my container of pre-moistened bleach wipes with the Seventh Gen disinfecting wipes because they work just as well (and actually have more cleaning solution on them) and disinfect at the same level. The thing that impressed me most about the actual cleaning capability of the line is the bathroom cleaner, mostly because the bathroom is a pretty daunting foe for most cleaners, but the lemongrass and thyme version to which I’m now addicted just breezed through my disasters. I can’t recommend this line enough, especially for people with children or pets. Even if you’re not really into the whole ‘green’ thing, why not try this line? It’s comparable in cost and disinfecting power, and it smells a heck of lot better than the chemical brands!

Durin Earth Month this year we took a lot of the lessons my 5 year old granddaughter did at school and helped her and her younger brother do things at home. We planted some flowers and herbs for them to take care of and they each have a day where they take our recycleable items and put them in the correct bins. They are still doing it now.
When we walk to the park I take along an extra sack and I pick up trash they point out along the way. I just can’t let them touch that stuff.

Happy Earth Day! I’m trying to use reusable bags more often when I buy groceries, I always end up with like 15 plastic bags because I forget to bring them.

I have already started celebrating Earth month by attending a local Earth Day celebration, going to the grand opening of a new local co-op, and am planning to go to a huge Earth Day celebration on Earth Day this week! At all of these outings, I am learning new ways to be even more green than I already am and also supporting local companies and organizations!

We are working on being more “green” at the school where I work, and our office was actually the first to start recycling paper – even before the rest of the school. Now we’ve moved on to bottles and cans and cardboard as well. Yay!
i decorated 2 bulletin boards today with earth day pictures and green peace photographs… ahh!
I have added your strut your shrimp to my blog

We recycle all things paper and plastic, we are also planning on planting 5+ trees this year in our yard!

We are avid recyclers — our regular garbage can is usually practically empty while we have TWO blue Rosies! Also, my fabulous hubby composts our food waste . . . eggshells, potato peels, coffee grounds . . .it all becomes lovely rich soil for our yard! (Unless my dog digs it up and eats it. . .) Kisses and have a great weekend!

every month is earth month for us! we recycle everything, use compact fluorescents and LED lights, use rechargeable batteries, water filtration, subscribe to wind power, use recycled tote bags for groceries, take public transportation, and try our darndest to keep our plants alive in brooklyn! and i took a little extra TLC with my first plant, Phillip, who has survived regardless of my own existence/negligence for the last dozen or so years. what a trooper!

I love those products!! I always got headache when I use regular bathroom cleaner with breach and I changed it to Seventh Generation one last winter. I just LOVE it so much!! I can even use it with window closed! Now all of my cleaners are eco friendly. I also drive Prius, carry eco bags in my purse, re-use bottles, use energy efficient light bulbs, don’t eat meat, buy organics, and buy handmade stuff! There’s so many things you can do right now to be eco friendly. 😉
Since I already use those products, I don’t want to enter to the give away. I want somebody who’s still using non-eco stuff to change! That’s so nice of you to give those away!!
I don’t usually do a ton differently for earth month, because I recycle, use public transportation, don’t waste, composte, etc. daily.
But- in honor or Earth Month, I haven’t bothered to replace a light bulb that burnt out in my most used lamp about a week ago. I’m enjoying the dark!
